Revolution 2020

 Hello reader :)

This is respose blog given by Dr.Dilip Barad paper of Contemporary Literature in which we have the group presentation on each novel as a introduction of the novel and author and later sir teach as whole novel so first we study popular Indian Writer Chetan Bhagat novel Revolution Twenty20.

Introduction of Author

Chetan Bhagat is the author of seven novels and two nonfiction books. The New York Times called him the “the biggest selling English language novelist in India’s history” and Time magazine named him among the “100 most influential people in the world.” Chetan also writes about youth and national development issues in India. He lives in Mumbai with his wife and their twin boys.

In this task sir give as three point in which we have to write our thinking Activity.

1.Social Realism

2.Significance of Tittle

3.Narrative perspective

1.Social Realism in the Novel

In the Novel Revolution Twenty20 captured Social Realism is like corruption. Education Love Relationship Generation Gap Economy and corrupt politicians represent real Indian social situations where private institutions reality captured. India is the second country of world's population in that their major is youth and novels represent the youth their ambition, corruption and Education. The subtitle of novel represent love, corruption, ambition Gopal one who is become corrupt or situation make him corrupt second character Raghav represent Ambition he was passed difficult exam like JEE/AIEEE then decided to become journalist and started work as journalist and he was the person who was work for people and wanted revolution in India Gopal and his failure his family problem conflict with father then brainwashed by MLA Shuklaji choose the shortcut to become Rich man then his plan kept family land and building private college the process to build college and permission from Government how the all sector or our system is corrupted it was also one of the current social reality of India. Private Education 's costly quality of Education is poor. When higher officers came for inspection they arranged everything according to the rules. The relationship of Gopal, Aarti, and Raghav's triangle love story is another social realism of youth. People like Aarti are not sure about their love and trust, lake of Understanding, lake of maturity, also one of the realities of Youth.

Gopal and Raghav both are at least have their ambition to change Or to become Rich but when compare with Aarti she was not having any Ambition or not even try hard like Gopal tried they both are serious for their career when Aarti having good family background her Father is IAS officer and Grandfather is Ex CM she was having big dream to become IAS Or and other higher position in her life she want to become air hostess but later she was work in Hotel as a receptionist it was also one of the great social reality in our society Girls are in school having good marks or secure rank but when it was in the life or work they are choose easy jobs or finding rich person then marry him so they are rich or without hard work lived lavish lifestyle.

Gopals Mercedes car, huge bangalow, collection of costly wine and how he was describing all those things we consider as social reality for showing their wealth and status. cars like Mercedes are used because it was an expensive car anybody can't buy those cars.

2.Significance of the Title Revolution Twenty 20.

Revolution Twenty20 title itself suggested many things  like it was about Revolution Or something happen in past or hope for the future their is the hope but in different form at the end of novel he was suggested when he was able he was not give the bribe and from them author was give the message to youth change in our society But sometimes it storyline is more about love than Revolution. In year 2011 novel published on those days one movement is going on Jan Lokpal Bill people like Anna Hazare and others are protesting and hunger strike this is also one of the interpretations of the title it was hoped for this protest Raghav's character also suggested the Revolution and fighting for the chance in the society so hope is like one day RAM RAJYA will be come.Another interpretation of the title is popularity of IPL the written the title is similar like IPL T20.

The tittle Revolution is also connected with Novel Central character Raghav who was Journalist and he was Started One New Paper Name is Revolution2020 but writer's central Consult not for this New paper or Raghav's Perspective which is more for poor people who are suffering and he was against People like Shuklaji (MLA) and his involvement in Ganga Sarai Aandolan it was Only we can said Name was there but writer wrote about only on Gopal's perspective and how he was becoming corrupt and another important from his eyes is the chapter Of Love Failure in the life of Gopal this both the things and Gopal is centre in Narration and Writer's Perspective According to my Point of view Writer give the title not appropriated because it was not about revolution in directly but May be he was Suggested hope of Revolution Or love Evolution.

3) Do you think that an opportunity of a good novel is wasted because the story is told from Gopal's perspective? Can it be better if narrated from Raghav or Aarti's perspective? How would it be better if it was narrated from Raghav or Aarti's perspective?

The Novel is all about Gopal's story but if it was from Raghav or Aarti's Perspective then it was have some philosophical depth in novel also both characters perspective included than it was give some height to Novel like Suffering and Corruption is good theme used by writer but Suffering to choose path of Corruption not ultimate answer and Gopal Judge all the Character From his Eyes Only and all characters belong from Higher caste two of them having good background nothing story like  Who are in a margin also Novel written with Raghav's perspective in he was Exposed Shuklaji kind Of Corrupt people. In the novel  give his perspective on contemporary Political argument which makes the Novel more political. He also Suggested the suffering of poor people, Farmer and even Exposed Private Education and its corruption. There is a love story but not in the Centre of Novel but the centre is Revolution. His deep thinking of making the Nation better For everyone.
